Block Sandbox unblocked is a free-form pixel sandbox by WeLoPlay that gives you an empty grid and a toy box full of blocky characters, weapons, armour and building pieces, then gets out of the way. There are no levels and no score; the fun is in the scenes you set up yourself. Drop a blocky hero on one side and a pack of zombies on the other, hand the hero an assault rifle or a rocket launcher, throw up a brick wall for cover and start the battle to watch it unfold with wobbly ragdoll physics. Tools along the top let you step in at any time - grab and reposition anything, wipe it away with the eraser, freeze a fighter solid or set a structure ablaze - and a zoom slider lets you pull back for big set pieces or zoom in on a single duel. Players who like this kind of experimenting should also open People Playground, while builders will feel at home in Eaglercraft 1.8.8.
Everything is point and click. Choose a tab on the right - characters, weapons, armour or blocks - click an item, then click the grid to place it. Give a character a weapon by dropping it right beside them. The icons along the top are your tools: the arrow picks up and moves objects, the eraser deletes them, the snowflake freezes and the flame burns. The crossed swords start the fight, the pause button stops everything, and the slider on the right zooms the camera. Follow the pointing hand during the first minute to learn the steps, then experiment freely. Good scenarios usually need a bit of structure, so build walls or towers before placing the fighters; armour your favourite character if you want them to last; and try freezing a battle midway, rearranging it and letting it continue. On a phone or tablet, tap wherever the guide says to click.
