Eaglercraft 1.8.8 is a full port of Minecraft 1.8.8 that runs entirely inside your browser, with no launcher, no Java install and no account required. Everything you expect from that version is here: survival mode with hunger, mobs and a full crafting tree, creative mode with unlimited blocks and flight, randomly generated worlds you can explore forever, and the classic 1.8 combat model that many players still prefer to the newer versions. Worlds save locally in the browser, so you can close the tab and pick your build back up later, and you can import or export saves and resource packs if you want to move things around. There is multiplayer too - the client can connect to Eaglercraft-compatible servers, which is where most of the PvP, minigame and survival communities live. Performance is genuinely solid for something running in a tab, and the render distance and graphics settings can be tuned down on weaker machines. Move with WASD, jump with Space, sneak with Shift and sprint by double-tapping W or holding the sprint key. Look around with the mouse, mine or attack by holding Left Click, and place blocks or use items with Right Click. Press E to open your inventory and the crafting grid, and use the number keys 1 to 9 to switch hotbar slots. In creative mode, double-tap Space to fly. Your world saves in the browser automatically, so use the in-game menu to create, load and back up saves rather than relying on the tab staying open.
