Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, usually called TABS, is a strategy game where the soldiers are wobbly, floppy and very funny to watch. You get a budget, pick units from a long list and place them on your side of the battlefield, then press start and see whether your army beats the enemy. The units come from many eras and worlds: peasants with pitchforks, Roman shield bearers, Vikings, samurai, archers, catapults, and even strange units like a giant mammoth. Because every fighter moves with ragdoll physics, battles never look the same twice; a knight might trip over a fallen enemy, a catapult boulder might send ten soldiers flying, and a single strong unit can sometimes beat an entire crowd. The campaign gives you puzzles with fixed enemies, while sandbox lets you set up any battle you like. For another chaotic army game, try Funny Battle Simulator 2.
Choose a unit from the bottom bar and click on the blue area of the map to place it; right-click or use the remove tool to take it back. Keep an eye on the budget at the top, because you cannot spend more than you have. When your army is ready, press start and watch. You can move the camera with W, A, S, D and the mouse during the fight. Think about counters: put tough units in front to protect archers behind them, use spear and shield units against cavalry, and surround slow, heavy units with fast fighters. If a battle fails, look at where your line broke and try a new formation instead of just adding more of the same unit.
