The Battleground drops you out of a helicopter and straight into a live online shootout. Pick Battle Royale if you want one life and a single winner, or Deathmatch if you just want to keep fighting and practise your aim. Matches play from a third-person view, so you can peek around walls and spot enemies before they spot you, and the map rotates between places like a snowy brick town and a sunny island by the sea. Every gun - M4, AK47, Tavor, Kriss Vector, MP5, UTAS shotgun, Lynx, MK 13 and a grenade launcher - has its own tree of camouflage skins that unlock as you earn XP with it. Choose Battle Royale or Deathmatch, then click when the screen says Click to Jump to leave the helicopter and steer your parachute down. Move with W A S D, run with Shift, jump with Space and crouch with Ctrl. Left click shoots, right click aims, F picks up gear and M opens the full map. Keep an eye on your HP and ammo at the bottom of the screen, and reload behind cover. The game is played online against real people, so it needs an internet connection.
