Subway Surfers New York sends the famous endless runner on a World Tour stop in the Big Apple. The tracks are lined with yellow subway tiles, graffiti-covered trains and skyscrapers, and the Statue of Liberty watches from the horizon while you sprint away from the grumpy inspector and his dog. Nothing about the chase is slow: the three lanes fill with trains, barriers and tunnels, and the speed keeps creeping up the longer you survive. Coins scattered along the rails pay for upgrades that make power-ups last longer, and each mission you complete raises your score multiplier for future runs. If you already know the original Subway Surfers, this version feels instantly familiar but looks completely different, and fans of temple-style running can also try Temple Run 2.
Use the left and right arrow keys to change lanes, the up arrow to jump over barriers or onto the roof of a train, and the down arrow to roll under signs; on a phone, swipe in the same directions. Double-tap the space bar to throw down a hoverboard, which saves you from one crash. Ride on top of the trains whenever you can, because the roofs are usually the safest path and are full of coins. Grab the jetpack to fly above everything for a few seconds, the magnet to pull in nearby coins, and the super sneakers to jump extra high. When you crash into a train head-on the run ends, so keep your eyes a few cars ahead instead of on Jake's feet.
