Pool by Fancade - the studio behind Drive Mad, Stacktris and Monster Match - is billiards stripped down to the part that actually matters: the shot. There is no clutter around the table, no long tutorial and no fuss, just you, a cue and a set of increasingly awkward layouts to clear. Every shot asks the same question in a different way: work out the angle between the cue ball and your target, picture the line from that target to the pocket, and figure out where the cue ball needs to make contact to send it there. Then add power, and think about where the cue ball will end up afterwards, because a potted ball that leaves you snookered is barely better than a miss. You can play against the computer or against a friend, and the scenarios get progressively trickier as you go, tightening angles and stacking obstacles until precision is the only thing that gets you through. Simple to learn, genuinely hard to master. If you like cue sports, you might also like 8 Ball Pool and Mafia Billiard Tricks.
Click and drag the cue stick to set your aim - the guide line shows the path the cue ball will take, so line it up with the point of contact you want on the target ball. Drag further back to add power and release to strike. Softer shots give you far more control over where the cue ball stops, which matters as much as potting the ball itself. Always look at the angle from your target to the pocket first, then work backwards to find where the cue ball has to hit it. On mobile, touch and drag works exactly the same way.
