Melon Playground is a physics sandbox with no missions and no score. You get an empty map and a huge menu of things to spawn: melon people, pumpkins, swords and guns, cars, explosives, ropes, motors, lasers and building blocks. Everything you spawn reacts to physics, so you can build a car out of wheels and a plank, set up a chain of falling dominoes, attach a melon person to a rocket, or simply see what happens when a bomb goes off in a crowded room. The fun is all in trying ideas and watching the result, and some of the best moments come from things going wrong in unexpected ways. If you enjoy this kind of experiment, People Playground offers an even bigger toolbox, and TNT Sandbox focuses on explosions.
Open the item menu to choose a category, then click an item and click on the map to spawn it. Drag objects with the mouse to move or throw them. Use the tools in the toolbar to freeze an object in place, connect two objects with a rope or a joint, or remove what you do not need. Machines like motors and lights can be turned on with a click. Start small, for example a ramp and one vehicle, then add more parts once you understand how they move. You can pause the physics to set up a big scene and then unpause to watch it all happen at once.
