Five Nights at Freddy's 4 moves the horror out of the pizzeria and into a child's bedroom. There are no security cameras and no power to manage this time; all you have is a flashlight and the ability to run to the two doors, the closet and the bed behind you. Nightmare versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy creep closer during the night, and each one has to be dealt with in a different way. That makes sound the most important tool in the game: you listen at the door for breathing before deciding whether to shine the light or hold it shut. Between the nights, short mini-games tell a sad story about a little boy and his birthday that ties the whole series together. If you enjoy this kind of tension, try Five Nights at Winston's or hide from Granny.
Click the arrows on the sides of the screen to run to the left or right door, click the closet in the middle, or turn around to check the bed. At a door, hold the door button to listen first. If you hear breathing, keep the door shut until the footsteps leave; if it is quiet, flash the light down the hallway to scare away anything far away. Flash the bed to clear the little Freddles that gather there, and close the closet door when Foxy starts to appear inside. Play with headphones or the sound turned up, because the breathing is the only warning you get.
