Brotato by Blobfish is a top-down arena roguelite with one of the best premises in the genre: you are a potato, you have crash-landed on an alien planet, and you can hold up to six weapons at the same time. Each run is split into short waves lasting around twenty to sixty seconds, and your only job is to stay alive until the timer runs out while enemies pour in from every edge of the screen. Between waves you visit the shop, spend the materials you collected and decide what your potato is actually going to become - a pistol-spraying glass cannon, a melee bruiser who heals off kills, an engineer surrounded by turrets, or something far weirder. Dozens of unlockable characters each start with their own stat quirks and restrictions, so no two runs open the same way. Waves are fast, deaths are quick, and the pull to try just one more build is relentless. If you like fast survival roguelites, you might also like 10 Minutes Till Dawn and Astro Survivors.
Move with WASD or the arrow keys - your weapons fire on their own as soon as an enemy comes into range, so positioning matters far more than aiming. Kite enemies in wide circles, keep your back away from the edge of the arena, and walk over the materials that drop so they are not lost when the wave ends. When the shop appears between waves, spend materials on weapons and items: combining several copies of the same weapon upgrades it, and matching items to your character's strengths is what turns a run into a winning build. Use the reroll button if the shop offers nothing useful.
